Question 1

What is YelloRide and how is it different from Uber and Bolt in Nigeria?

Accepted Answer

YelloRide is a Nigerian-built ride-hailing alternative designed for fairness and safety. Unlike Uber and Bolt which deduct up to 25% commission from drivers and charge sudden surge prices to riders during rain or traffic, YelloRide operates an Upfront Price Lock guarantee (zero surge gouging) for riders, and drivers keep 100% of all fares for a simple flat weekly subscription of ₦9,900.

Question 2

How does the YelloRide Upfront Price Lock work for passengers?

Accepted Answer

When you enter your pickup and dropoff locations in the YelloRide app, the fare shown is locked. Even if you encounter severe gridlock on Third Mainland Bridge or sudden rainstorms in Abuja, your fare will never increase arbitrarily. Adjustments only occur if you explicitly change your destination or add multiple stops.

Question 3

How does the mandatory 4-Digit Safety PIN protect riders and drivers?

Accepted Answer

Every booking generates a unique 4-digit Safety PIN on the rider’s screen. The driver partner cannot start the trip or begin GPS telemetry until you give them this PIN and they verify it in the Driver App. This guarantees you never board the wrong vehicle or fall victim to unauthorized impostor drivers.

Question 4

How much do drivers earn with YelloRide compared to traditional taxi apps?

Accepted Answer

On traditional platforms taking 20% to 25% commission, a driver completing ₦100,000 in weekly fares forfeits ₦25,000. With YelloRide, the driver pays only a flat ₦9,900 weekly subscription and retains ₦90,100—saving over ₦60,000 to ₦100,000 every single month in take-home earnings.

Question 5

Can YelloRide driver partners pause their subscription during car maintenance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. YelloRide features Fair Subscription Pausing. If your vehicle is in the mechanic workshop or you take time off, you can pause your weekly subscription directly in the Driver App and receive downtime credit so you never pay for days you do not drive.

Question 6

In which Nigerian cities does YelloRide operate?

Accepted Answer

YelloRide is available across key metropolitan corridors including Abuja (FCT), Lagos State (Island & Mainland), Port Harcourt (Rivers State), Ibadan, Kano, Benin City, and is actively deploying to all 36 Nigerian states.

Question 7

How do I download the YelloRide Rider App and Driver Partner App?

Accepted Answer

You can download the YelloRide Rider App and Driver Partner App directly from the official Apple App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android. Direct download links and verified APK packages are accessible at yelloride.click/download.

Question 8

How do drivers receive their money and trip earnings?

Accepted Answer

YelloRide supports instant daily automated bank payouts directly to any Nigerian commercial bank or in-app wallet, with zero withdrawal delay fees.
